Owners of YouTube channels with 1000 or more subscribers now have an opportunity to conduct mobile video broadcasts. Previously, the function was only available to users with audience of 10,000 people and more. Coverage has been expanded later, because YouTube aimed to fix any possible errors in the update.
The video streaming feature is built into YouTube mobile app, so there’s no need to install additional software. In order to go on air, it is necessary to click on camera icon at the top of display and select the desired mode. Then you can upload photo for broadcast, come up with a title and make video public or accessible only by link.
YouTube has decided to update the application, as video-streaming services has become very popular. In particular, Periscope and Facebook have great audience’s interest. Live mode on YouTube will be opened for devices with at least iOS 8 and Android 6.0. Moreover, any restrictions for streaming video should be removed for 90 days.
