Google has launched App Maker: the platform for creating apps with a clear interface, which doesn’t require difficult programming codes. Google, like its competitors Microsoft and wide range of startups, wants to make the process of creating apps easier. Thus, the companies will be able to solve the majority of problems that occur inside the organization very quickly.
The new cloud service follows the principle «drag & drop». App Maker allows constructing the user interface and complimenting it with the data from G Suite account, Google Maps, Contacts, Groups and other API services. Infrastructure and admin principles of the developed applications are similar to Gmail and Drive.
App Maker is suitable for those who are going to control time-limited tasks, track the orders or organize inventories. Moreover, applications may be useful for solving any problems in companies that can easily be converted into electronic format.
According to Google, the main advantage of the new platform is an opportunity to design an application in response to the specific needs of the organization without any help of developers. In case the user decides to improve the code, there is built-in editor with a rich functionality closed to IDE.
App Maker can already be found in G Suite Business.
Google claimed, that new apps appear in “Recommended for G Suite” program. They are perfectly compatible with the service and have been tested for vulnerabilities. There is also the recent list of companies’ partners including Virtru, LumApps, DocuSign, Freshdesk, Zoho Invoice, Xero and Asana.
