The Chinese manufacturer Vivo is preparing to introduce new model V5 Plus with two front cameras above display. Smartphone will have 20-megapixel main and 8-megapixel secondary camera with aperture f/2.0. Two cameras work together and help to make image where foreground is in focus and background is blurred, like in professional photos.
If user wants to change focus point it is necessary to tune camera manually and choose the desired area or the whole picture. In addition, Vivo has added front flash Selfie Spotlight and beauty mode, which reduces sharpness of pictures. New features help to easily create perfect selfies.
16 megapixel back camera of V5 Plus is not equipped with two lenses, which is against the trend of HTC Evo 3D, LG G5 and possibly future iPhone model. So Vivo stakes on innovative selfie camera. Other features of new Vivo are middle-of-the-road in comparison with flagships of new generation. It will have 5.5-inch screen with 1920×1080 pixels resolution, processor Snapdragon 625, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space.
Vivo does not deliver smartphones in the U.S. and Europe directly, thus it is possible to buy it only from private importers for about $400. However, predictably there will be other devices with two lenses in 2017, which will be more accessible.
