MWC is one of the most important industry events of the year, when companies from around the world show hundreds of devices in five days (this year MWC runs from 27 February to 3 March). Second day brings new details about mobile devices in 2017.
The Chinese manufacturer Meizu has introduced a new fast charging technology called Super mCharge. It will charge your phone from 0 to 100% in 20 minutes. It is faster than the nearest competitor Quick Charge 3.0 from Qualcomm. It is reported that battery stay below 39 degrees, which will prevent a smartphone from overheating. To use the new charger from Meizu, you have to connect a special cable which consumes more power. It is not known when the technology will be available to mobile devices owners.
Samsung is planning the Galaxy S8 presentation on March 29 in New York. According to promo video, which was shown to audience on company’s press conference, the main feature of smartphone will be edge-to-edge display.
Samsung has also announced the launch of Galaxy Tab S3 tablet and notebook Galaxy Book 2 in 1. Tab S3 has 9.7-inch AMOLED-display with HD+ resolution and wide range of colors. Galaxy Book appears in two versions with 10.6-inch display and Intel Core m3 processor and with 12-inch display, processor Intel Core i5 U-series and support of Full HD.
Alcatel has presented modular phone A5 LED, which will be priced at 199 euros. The back panel is removable and is illuminated depending on its functions. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, has 2GB of RAM and 2,900 mAh battery.
